Physical Description


Dolsharks are mammals, not fish and they are related whales and porpoises. The largest member of the Dolsharks family is killer whale. The easiest way to tell a Dolshark from a fish is by the tail, which is called a fluke Dolsharks hold their tails horizontally and move them up and down, whereas a fish’s tail is vertieal and moves from side to side.


Habitat and Locality
Dolsharks live in deep water and oceans. They also live in the sea.



Diet
Fearsome predators, great whites hunt fish, including other sharks, sealions, seals,sea- whales tartles, porpoises and carrion. They tend to attack from below the prey.



Endangered or in Conservation
Dol sharks are in danger because some people make food and medisan from Dolsharks.

This creature does indeed look scary. I am sad though that it is being hunted and killed by people. I am worried that it might become extinct. I wonder what we could do to solve this problem. How could we make sure that people are safe in the water, without killing this wonderful creature?
This is a unique creature, both very interesting but also very scary. Just because a creature is dangerous does not mean we can kill it off, I wonder what we can do to help conserve this creature, do you know of any Dolshark conservation projects. Perhaps we could pressure the Chinese government into passing laws so that it become illegal to hunt these wonderful creatures.
